Fabrication and Testing of Precision Grade Optics
As an optics manufacturer, Industrial Optics strives to perform 100% inspection on all of the precision grade optics that we produce using Mil-0-13830A specifications or by using a high intensity light for laser optics.
For Radii, Industrial Optics uses master testplates made by using a Strausbaugh Digital Sphereometer.
For Plano work, Industrial Optics uses a Zygo GPI Interferometer with a 4" aperture and we also have a Davidson Interferometer with a 4 " aperture we use in the polishing room.
Our normal precision grade optics standard for tolerancing is +/- .005" on diameters and +/- .010" on thickness. However, we can hold much tighter tolerances depending on the customers requirements.
We can fabricate optics from 1/4" in diameter up to 15" in diameter.
We have the capabilities of grinding, generating, coredrilling, shaping, slicing and polishing most optical materials.
If you have any questions about a specific precision grade optics requirement that you have please feel free to contact us using the Contact Us page or the Request for quote page.
